Linda Wang, our main acupuncturist of Auckland Eastmed Acupuncture in St Heliers, Auckland, has more than 25 years of oversea and local experience in Chinese medicine and acupuncture. She graduated from the Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine with a bachelor degree after 5 years training. In her first ten years after graduating from university, she worked as a charge acupuncturist in a very busy rehabilitation centre of a hospital affiliated to the Shanghai Medical College. She also taught acupuncture and supervised clinical practice for the medical students from university. During this period, Linda Wang has published a series of research articles about acupuncture treatments for stomachache, intestine palsy after surgery and pediatric cerebral palsy, etc.
After moving to New Zealand in 2002, Linda obtained the certificate of Adult Teaching and became a lecturer of acupuncture and clinical supervisor in two New Zealand TCM colleges for 10 years. She worked as a consultant for private clinic since 2006. Finishing her postgraduate from the Auckland University of Technology in 2012, Linda took a more active clinical role and worked as a part-time acupuncturist in the clinic. Since 2014. Linda becomes a full time acupuncturist in Auckland eastMed acupuncture.
In New Zealand, Linda’s interest is particular shifted to women and aged-people’s health and specialised in period issues, infertility & IVF support, arthritis and pain management, etc.
Linda has excellent communication skills in English and is very meticulous with her practicing. She likes cooking and enjoys music and travelling in her leisure time.
